Airlock Gateway 8.0
Continuous Adaptive Trust with Airlock Anomaly Shield
Airlock Anamoly Shield is based on machine learning technology and enables reliable detection of anomalies, such as bot activity. The use of Anomaly Shield has been substantially simplified by integrating the training and management of models into the Configuration Center. In response to anomalies, access rights of sessions can now be removed. Suspicious sessions accessing sensitive areas are thus forced to go through a re-authentication process. This enables continuous and adaptive adjustment of trust in a user interaction, depending on observed behavior and other risk indicators.
Modern Operating System
The Airlock Gateway appliance has been running on the CentOS 7 operating system. Unfortunately, the CentOS Linux distribution will not be continued. Therefore, Airlock Gateway 8.0 is now based on AlmaLinux 9, which is a binary-compatible fork of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). AlmaLinux provides Airlock Gateway with a modern and future-proof basis, which has been additionally hardened according to our many years of experience.
Simplified System Backup
The system backup has been simplified. It is now possible to integrate customer-specific settings that go beyond the standard configuration in the backup. These include, for example, system passwords, the SSH configuration, HSM configurations, custom settings or authorized keys. The list of files can be extended as desired.
Extended REST API and Python library
Various endpoints have been added to the REST API. These include deny rules, deny rule exceptions, global expert settings and error pages.
We have also created a Python library for the Airlock Gateway REST API. The library is not part of the official product release. Nevertheless, we believe that the library is a valuable contribution for the Airlock community.
Various Improvements
There are numerous other enhancements in the new release, such as a new major release of ElasticSearch and Kibana, OpenSSL 3, customizable suggestions in Policy Learning, and support for IPv6 addresses in the Webroot Threat Intelligence Feed.
