Seven Ages of Rock
When BBC Music Interactive needed a dedicated microsite for 7 Ages of Rock that was every bit as comprehensive as the TV series it supported, they approached us.
The landmark series definitively charted the growth of rock music as a global force, told through the musicians who have shaped this most enduring of genres, and its website needed to translate this online.
We worked closely with BBC Music to create an exciting, comprehensive site that reflects the identity and attitude of the series, yet also works within the broader brand guidelines.
Using the latest technologies - including a timeline created using AJAX, and tear-off content made available through partnerships with Flickr and Last.fm among others, the result is a groundbreaking site that gives great support to the series, as well as being a destination for rock fans in its own right.
Mark Friend, Controller Audio And Music Interactive, said, “It’s fantastic work and made me excited that a lot of what we are talking about with Music Discovery can become reality within the foreseeable future. I know you’ve worked your guts out to deliver this. Well done.”
