Ever wanted to know what life is really like on a Maternity Ward? Check out our new work for Channel 4 that launched this week. The site is a partner project to the new TV series, ‘One Born Every Minute’ that airs later this month and reveals the ins and outs of birth as it happens - no airbrushing, the real thing. The site covers a broad range of topics and issues through extensive video content and a number of fun, engaging content pieces. It has been an amazing project to work on, so we hope you enjoy it.

The nominations for this year’s BIMA awards have been announced and we’re happy to say that for the second year running we’re up for an award. Battlefront has been nominated in the best website category. The competition is stiff (we’re up against the iPlayer!) but we reckon we’ve got a shot at it.

The insight is simple - there are numerous ways to capture the visual world, but barely anything in sound. The BBC World Service is trying to put that right and is asking people to help preserve ‘endangered sounds’ by recording and sharing them. The recordings are all displayed on an interactive map, developed by Airlock, that allows you to upload audio and place it exactly where it was captured. Other users can then click around and travel the world in sound.

We scooped silver for Best Multiplatform project at the Sony Radio Academy Awards last night for our ‘World on the Move’ project for BBC Radio 4. ‘World On The Move used muti-media to take radio programming into areas not within the traditional remit of radio. Its subject matter was brought to life in the most captivating of manners and listeners were able to use the various platforms to generate new content.’ Couldn’t have put it better ourselves.

For the past few months we’ve been beavering away on the site for Radio 4’s ambitious World on the Move project, and it’s just been released into the wild. Supporting the groundbreaking, 40-programme-strong series, the site follows some of the world’s most incredible animal migrations. It’s a corner stone multiplatform project for the BBC which offers a truly interactive way for audiences to get involved and be inspired by this fantastic project.

We’re pleased to say that we’ve been chosen to design and build the new website for BBC2’s upcoming rock-fest, Seven Ages of Rock. The website will be the online destination for all mods, rockers, indie kids and metal heads when the seven-part documentary screens this summer. Rock on!
